That's not a real Pizza Hut...

To the casual observer, it may appear there is a Pizza Hut on Madison Avenue...

Mmmm...Wingstreet...

...but the door is locked...

...but what's up with that big sign above the door?

...but wait, the locked door opens!

"Sir, you have to call in a pizza at this location..."

"Well, dang!"

The Changing Face of The Carolina

Since the time of the formation of our condominium association, we have tried to focus on improving the curb appeal of the building.  Here is a short history of the metamorphosis of our "front yard."

The first step was to remove the Bradford Pear tree that was located towards the east end of the building.  Its mate, at the west end of the building, had long ago died.  This photo was taken in early 2006.

Once the tree was felled, I then removed a few wood timbers from the planters to create a more streamlined look.  But these wood timbers were not long for this world...

In the summer of 2008, the Association installed a retaining wall along the length of our frontage.

The wall itself is made of cinder blocks.  The existing concrete stairs were repaired and incorporated into the wall.

With the wall in place, improved landscaping could be planted.

The final touch were some stepping stones and a new sign.

For the building's logo, I chose a script from a 1940s brochure from ebay.
