The Naughty Squirrel

Recently, I noticed each morning that the soil in my planters had been tilled the night before, sometimes to the point where the pansies were completely unrooted.  With these planters being about 40 feet from the ground, I was at a complete loss on what could be riffling through them.

Poor pansies.

...and then, I saw him!  It was a naughty little squirrel that had been climbing the building to get to my planters!

Here he is about mid-way on the second floor.

And here he is waiting for me to go back inside.  When oak trees start growing in my planters in the spring, I know who to blame.

  1. Squirrels keep messing with our tomato plants. They're cute animals, but they can also be real jerks.

  2. I'm not sure how I happened upon your site but I love it! Also, and this may be a bit strange but based on your photos, I'm almost positive I lived in this exact unit from 1997 to 2002. What a great apartment! Love the Carolina's and love the neighborhood.
